What it was
Gmail Checker showed the unread count of your Gmail inbox on a toolbar button and opened the inbox on click. It was among the first extensions published in 2009. Today the same job is done far more completely by Checker Plus for Gmail, which adds previews, notifications and multiple accounts.
Succeeded by Checker Plus for Gmail™
The earlier extension is gone, but its role is filled today by Checker Plus for Gmail™, with 1M users and a 4.3 rating. See its statistics and history.
